Yoga on Tuesdays at FCC! Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. in Jones Hall is our weekly 1-hr. session of an ancient practice of stretches, meditation and balance with certified yoga instructor, Jeff Nelson.
The 2017 Lenten journey begins Mar. 5 as “Explore” participants are invited to join Pastor Elaine in a six-session conversation that will consider various perspectives on what it means to be people of privilege.
At Wednesday Night Worship throughout Lent, we will explore the theme of living with intention: How might we live simply with a sharpened focus on what is most important? How might we ‘declutter’ in the full schedules of our lives?
At First Congregational United Church of Christ, we are a community of faith striving to live out our mission “to be God’s hands at work from the heart of the city.” We are seeking to live faith that is grounded in our long history, yet open to God’s Spirit among us. We are bound as one in Jesus Christ and welcome ALL into the full life and ministry of our church. Our members represent diversity in sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, color, ethnicity, age and ability. Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome and accepted into full participation in our faith community.
In Mark 12:28-31, Jesus says that what is greatest of all is our relationships with God and our neighbors: "love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength...love your neighbor as yourself."
